Letters to Reform UK

Dear Dai Richards.

Regarding my opinion on Sir Keir Starmer's lack of respect for democracy. I would be happy to have my comments posted on Reform's leaflet. I had been a Labour supporter my whole adult life until the result of the Brexit referendum was rejected by Labour.
Perhaps Starmer is not aware that the referendum for the Welsh Assembly was won by an even smaller majority than Brexit.

Regarding the Welsh Assembly:
The Labour run Assembly has been doing a dreadful job. Education, Health, Crime, Infrastructure have been run into the ground and now we have Vaughan Gething taking donations from a company owned by a man previously convicted of environmental crimes. All this was followed by a vote of no confidence which went against him, and he's still there. The planned increase of AMs at a very conservative cost of £20 million pounds per annum is obscene when compared to the cuts in Education and Health spending.

Neath Port Talbot Borough Council should also be called out for their use of Levelling Up Funds. Instead of addressing the dereliction of town centre areas, like Queen Street, they have spent £19 million on tourist accommodation and another new Visitor Centre at Gnoll Park. As a resident of Neath, I'm sure you know that the entire Gnoll Park is a WW1 Memorial, extending to the boundary with Brynnau Farm and Cimla. It was purchased for the people of Neath with money remaining from the War Fund. Apart from the issues of a war memorial being used for tourist accommodation and the access being from Cimla Road not through the Main Entrance, how does this benefit and Level Up the people of Neath?

Labour is too complacent at all levels of government about it's voter base in Wales. Myself and my husband are pleased to have the option of voting Reform in the General Election and wish you every success. We hope to have the opportunity to also vote Reform in future Assembly and Local Government elections.

Yours sincerely,

A new Reform UK voter
