FLOOD at No 2 BRYNHYFRYD 21st & 22nd December 2020 due to Enzo negligence |
A young Glynneath family recently suffered a double hammer blow in quick succession in the lead up to Christmas. They had spent less than 48 hours in their new house with their two children including a five month old baby, and were flooded, not once, but twice on consecutive days. There is so much damage to property and furniture that almost a new start is required for this young couple and to compound their problems, they had moved in early and their insurance didn't start until 1st January. The housing developer Enzo Homes has been blamed by local residents for the flooding after straw bales were left near an open culvert. "There was enough hay to feed a family of horses for a month" claimed the couple after seeing a large pile pulled up from the culvert during the clean up operation. Friends and neighbours are rallying around to support the couple and a "go fund me" page has been set up to help them get back on their feet. To donate to the page please.
