START - Glynneath Town Centre Car Park - Head up Oddfellows St to the Co-op ('Square').........
B - turn left when you reach the main road after about 100 metres you will be passing by........

BETHANIA CHAPEL A Grade II listed building that was built during the religious revival of 1905 to accommodate the overflowing congregation of Bethany Chapel, located in the nearby Bethania Street. The chapel has now been deconsecrated and is a community centre run by Glynneath Town Council. Visitors are welcome to enter, there is a cafe, information point and shop inside. Enter through the door to the left had side of the chapel, if this is closed, please see the notice board for opening times. |
....... continue down the main road and just after Chameleon Hairdressers you will come to an open patch. This is the site of the old park Cinema in Glynneath. The cinema burned down many moons ago - more info to follow
C - turn right signposted 'Library'. Continue to point D which is almost directly opposite the library or pop into the library which has several large local Glynneath photos on permanent display above the shelves.
D - turn left into the park and follow the fence line keeping it on your right until you reach the tarmac path. At this point just to the right stood the Glynneath Miners Welfare Hall.
