Dai's walk around Wales blog - May 2020

The winds of change blew through my mind last night and working early doors on the computer I came to the decision that I need to move away from the 'walking' theme and look more at the 'alternative education' side of things. The reason for this is because I'm always more interested in learning about the things I see when I'm walking than the actual walking itself and it fits in with my personal 'journey of understanding' whereby I'm learning about what makes me who I am. There also seems to be a lack of alternative education in Wales, everything in Wales and the UK is focussed on traditional education, school / college / university etc. I found that school life never suited me, university was not really an option and even if it was, I don't think it would of worked for me, yet I'm not stupid, I'm just different and if traditional education taught me one thing, it taught me to challenge authority (and to respect the Romans - Life of Brian quote). With this in mind and with the focus on alternative education, the first thing I'm going to do is say 'alternative education is out of the window. There is no focus, lets just go out there and learn about................... life |
