It's a massive day for me today, I'm able to reveal that my alternate script to the "Last Train at Christmas filmed at Bay Studios was accepted and this second film was shot at the same time. To finally achieve a starring role in a film is a dream come true. - https://youtu.be/Lc3_RyG9jW8 |

******* Journey to the Best Bum in Baglan is a second film taken from the footage of the "Last Train at Christmas" It delves deep into Baglan folklore and is based on a true event. "To finally achieve a starring role in a film is a dream come true." said co-star Dai Richards. This story was part of my upbringing, and to take part in it's telling is amazing. |

GONE FOR A BURTON by DAVE COX Today I finished reading this exceptional tale of a group of Port Talbot men who travel to Switzerland to bring back the body of Richard Burton to Wales. Whilst reading the book I couldn't help thinking that some of the characters and related stories were extreme, but then I reflected and placed myself in the shoes of the author who grew up in Baglan at around the same time I did and decided that of course Port Talbot is an extreme place and what would appear to me to be normal for Port Talbot wouldn't be worth reading so I placed the extremities in the realms of poetic licence and the book grew and grew and grew on me. The characters get up to hilarious antics and their fantasies and desires are fuelled when passed by a busload of nurses from Swansea driving to the same destination. What made the book for me was the final chapter and the reflections of the author on a town which for many has seen better days but which nurtures characters that are larger than life and where crazy is normal. I'm happy to put this book in the post free of charge to anyone interested in reading it on the understanding that you do likewise when you've finished reading it. |

6 April 2022 - Local Government elections - 5 May 2022
Candidates were announced for the election in May and I was one of them. This is a compilation video of the 4 videos released during my election campaign. |
Gethin & Korra stayed with us for the first week of the election campaign and I didn't do a lot of electioneering apart from shooting an introduction to one of my videos. In the beginning of thjis video we see me having a go at introducing myself and then the following day Korra pretends to be me. This is Observational Learning and I've combined to two segments to show this, When I'm introducing myself Korra is watching and can see that I'm having fun doing so. A day later she has a go at being me. I think she's probably better at it than I am. |

As you walk into my house the first thing you see is a memorial to my Dad and my Mam. They both fought in the war so I focus on this part of their lives, their medals show the honour bestowed upon them by this country. My Dad made sacrifices as a young man in the service of his country and later on he worked his whole life to support his family so that they could have a better life. I for one appreciate the support and the love he showed for his children. Although the video is mainly about myself and the miners of Glynneath, I dedicate the video to my Dad on this, the 100th anniversary of his birth which is today. Thanks Dad.

IF YOU HAVE A GOOD LIFE THEN HONOUR THE MEMORY OF THOSE THAT MADE IT POSSIBLE SO THAT WE WHO FOLLOW KNOW THAT OUR GOOD DEEDS AND POSITIVE ACTIONS IN THE SUPPORT OF OTHERS WILL BE REMEMBERED AND WILL HAVE MEANING WHEN WE ARE GONE
