Dai's walk around Wales blog - June 2024

June 2024 was in the main a blur following the notification of a general election at the end of May. I was standing in the elction for Reform UK and did a ton of walking delievring leaflets and meeting people in the community.

I rode down to the civic centre in Port Talbot to hand in my nomination papers to stand for parliament. After, I visited Dic Penderyn's grave in St Mary's church.

While canvassing in Dan-y-Graig, Neath I came across this manhole cover which has my great grandfather's company on it. WH Snow and Sons, Contractors, Neath. There are a number of houses in this street which were built for the family of William Henry. My grandmother lived next door to him in Eva Street, Melyn.
