15 May 2019	mechanic	Dream horse - I spent the day in Blaenavon pretending to be a mechanic, I was ready to go under a car but the previous scene went over time and production ran out of light so I wasn't used. The good news was that the production team had a heart and wanted everyone local who auditioned to appear in the film so I got booked for another day.
17 May 2019	punter	Dream Horse. - I was upgraded to a walk on as a (horse) punter and had an interaction with Steffan ? (Dave of Dave's Buses, Gavin and Stacey). Also in the scene were Dame Sian Phillips, Damien Lewis, and Stacey herself. I had to take money off Dave the Bus and sing along to Bread of Heaven with the crowd. I was over enthusiastic with my initial actions and got slowed down at every opportunity by the directors and ADs.
23-26/6/2019	pressman	aired on Channel 4 - November 2019 - There was good camera time for Dai the Actor on Channel 4's "The Accident" - I'm the pressman in the background of the photo. This is episode 4 of a 4 part series and its the only episode I'm in but it's worth the wait. The real actor in the foreground is Jade Croot who was playing Leona Bevan. What we don't see on the tele is the eight to ten times that we did this scene and the incredible amount of emotion that Jade put into this role. At the end of the day I was drained just watching how this young girl embraced this difficult role. It was an outstanding performance and I won't be at all upset if she beats me to that oscar. 10 July 2019	parent	SEX EDUCATION - SERIES 2 - I did one day in July 2020 filming for the Netflix production Sex Education, Series 2, Episode 1. We spent all day filming the one scene in a theatre in Penarth, south Wales. I can be seen talking to my on-screen partner as the lady a couple of rows behind gets up to speak. aired on Netflix, January 2020

24 July 2019	Boxing Manager	BBC - CASUALTY - SERIES 34 EPISODE 14 - filmed on 24 July 2019 at Elite Fitness Gym, Fairwater, Cardiff. My role is a Boxing Manager and I'm now going to be known as Dai 'in the corner' Richards. During filming, I'm wearing all my own clobber apart from the gold necklace & ring. This was my first booked walk-on appearance. A walk-on in the industry is an extra (supporting artist) who has been upgraded from the background to a featured part within a production. Although I have appeared as a walk-on several times previously, I had always been upgraded from background during production, picked out from the crowd to be a star. So this was the first time that I was actually booked as a walk-on which makes me think that I'm almost a real actor now. The storyline was that the girl on the right in black is sick with a rare illness and she has just left the hospital to A&E department (Casualty) for the fight. One of the doctors who examined her followed her to the fight and was on hand when she collapsed in the ring following an amazing knock out blow from my girl Emily. A nurse and another doctor in 'Casulaty' are streaming the fight live which is why in one of the photos it looks like the scene is being viewed on a phone.
August 2020 aired on Sky 1 24/12/2020	Cyclist	ROALD & BEATRIX: The Tail of the Curious Mouse (sky1) - A one off Christmas Eve special about when Roald Dahl meets Beatrix Potter. I'm on a bike so should be included in the background shots when the film is aired. This is the first time I've worked with my son Simon on a production so its great that we are both seen in the same scene. I'm on the bike and Simon is by the lorry. Roald & Beatrix, the tail of the curious mouse, a heart-warming Christmas film inspired by the true encounter between a six-year-old Roald Dahl and his idol Beatrix Potter. A magical story of what really can happen when you are brave enough to follow your dreams. 18 May 2020	policeman	We've a little bit of family camera time in the BBC drama "The Pact". Both Simon and myself are playing police crime scene investigators, we can be seen entering into a room in episode 3 THE PACT - BBC DRAMA - IMDB
11 January 2023		The Light in the Hall - I appeared as a desk sergeant in the Channel 4 series "The Light in the Hall". I created my own lines "can I see some identification please" in the series but they dubbed me and its somebody else speaking.
