Post overview: In 2020 the Neath-Port Talbot Councillors Del Morgan & Simon Knoyle (Glynneath Demon) worked together to turn a blind eye to historic planning department corruption that allowed the Cuddy Group to tip toxic waste unregulated at the Heol-y-Glyn landfill site for over 5 years. Children in Glynneath can be see to have behavioural problems that may have been caused by the toxic waste still in place at the site. The post provides evidence of how toxic waste affects children causing behavioural problems etc.

Toxic waste and behaviour in children

Toxic waste exposure in children, especially heavy metals (lead, mercury, arsenic) and pesticides, significantly impacts behavior, causing issues like ADHD, hyperactivity, learning disabilities, poor attention, memory problems, and increased risk for autism spectrum disorders, due to their developing brains being highly vulnerable, leading to potentially permanent neurodevelopmental damage from prenatal to early childhood exposures.

Key Toxicants & Behaviors:

Lead: Linked to reduced IQ, attention deficits, hyperactivity, and general behavioral problems.

Mercury: Associated with IQ deficits, attention deficit disorders, and impaired motor skills.

Pesticides (e.g., Chlorpyrifos): Can cause developmental delays, reduced coordination, memory deficits, and behavioral issues.

PCBs (Polychlorinated Biphenyls): Linked to IQ loss and neurobehavioral disabilities.

Air Pollutants (e.g., NO2): Associated with reduced attention in young children.

E-Waste: Informal recycling exposes children to various toxins, increasing emotional and behavioral problems.

Why Children Are More Vulnerable:

Hand-to-mouth behavior: They ingest contaminated soil, dust, and objects.

Closer to the ground: Higher exposure to settled dust and soil pollutants.

Higher intake: Breathe, drink, and eat more relative to their body weight.

Developing Brains: Their brains are rapidly developing, making them highly susceptible to irreversible damage from chemicals.

Sources of Exposure:

Environmental: Old paints (lead), contaminated soil, e-waste dumps, industrial pollution, secondhand smoke.

Household: Pesticides, some cleaning products, plastics (BPA).

Food & Water: Contaminated food, water, and proximity to agricultural areas.

Impacts & Prevention:

Irreversible Effects: Early damage to the developing brain can result in permanent dysfunction.

Behavioral Disorders: Potential links to ADHD, autism, and tics.

Prevention: Reducing exposure through safe storage of chemicals, avoiding idling cars in garages, ensuring safe housing, and supporting policies to reduce pollution are crucial.

27.jpg (418723 bytes) GLYNNEATH RESIDENTS AGAINST CONTAMINATION - TOWN COUNCIL STATEMENT by CHAIRMAN - DAI RICHARDS on 14 May 2024 - At the time of this statement Dai Richards was the Prospective Parliamentary Candidate in the Neath & Swansea East Constituency for Reform UK. In the UK 2024 General Election he finished second polling 10,170 votes (25.3% share of the vote). In this video we see him in his role of Chairman of the Glynneath Residents Against Contamination identifying that the Glynneath Town Council are a criminal organisation who are almost certainly causing the death of residents they are elected to represent.
00y.jpg (1002472 bytes) ooops lead is above the safe level - but there is no safe level for lead.
Lead: Linked to reduced IQ, attention deficits, hyperactivity, and general behavioral problems.

https://youtu.be/ag4G36k8wlc 00y.jpg (382972 bytes) On 19 July 2021 we made a public question asking for an update on the Heol y Glyn Development because there were 6 different toxic chemicals that have recently been exposed in the top layer of the soil. This is of serious concern to our group. Only Councillor Knoyle has made a public statement in relation to four question but he has not referenced the current exposed contamination which is of concern. The council have a duty of care in relation to this contamination to provide a risk assessment for human health by categorising the identified contamination from 1 to 4. This information has not been provided with the current planning application which is a concern. This video requests that the two Glynneath councillors ensure that this information is provided to the residents surrounding the site as soon as possible. As council tax payers it is our right to know the level of toxins we have been potentially exposed to. - Glynneath Residents Against Contamination Group.

PUBLIC INTERACTIONS OF CONCERN

Kathryn Samuel comment 96.jpg (37647 bytes)

Rubbish post, grow up Dai Richards.Political point scoring , try beating them in the polls with the other Reform fascists.

Dai Richards to Kathryn Samuel 86.jpg (65911 bytes) thank you for your really interesting comment, would you care to define your comment about this being a 'rubbish post', do you believe the information in it to be incorrect?
Kathryn Samuel to Dai Richards  84.jpg (166825 bytes) First off do you believe that only mother's care about children in Glynneath? What about father's, foster carers etc ? I question the motive for the post? Is it to raise awareness or just another opportunity to criticise local councillors? To be honest I also question your ability to empathise with the allegedly affected young people, as a Reform promoter you do not care about humanity on any level.
Glynneath Residents Against Contamination (Dai Richards) to Kathryn Samuel 84.jpg (166825 bytes)

Thanks for your reply, however you've answered my question with questions of your own. The post is about toxic waste affecting children and the additional comments provide evidence that toxic waste exists on the site and that Glynneath Councillors refuse to answer questions about if the required protocol has been followed. I will ask the question again and enlarge it a little to make it simpler for you to understand so that maybe you can answer it properly next time.

Do you believe the information in the post about toxic waste affecting children to be incorrect?

Kathryn Samuel left the group.  70.jpg (61813 bytes) Why a member of the public would make a safety issue into an ad-hominem political attack on my person and my process is beyond me.
