In my role as Safeguarding Officer for the Facebook Group Glynneath News and Views, I (Dai Richards) made a report to South Wales Police 101 about potential sexual offences by a former admin of the group, Stephen Karl Hunt.

The original report can be found here............ CLICK HERE

I have not received an update from South Wales Police since making the report so on 21 September 2026 following the resignation of Stephen Karl Hunt as leader of Neath Port Talbot Council I requested an update from South Wales Police. I was informed by a contact at South Wales Police (SWP50187) that I had been advised by the Case Officer PC 2267 Peach.............

that he................."has updated you were advised on 15/5/26 via email the relevant first point of contact on all governance matters related to Glynneath Town Council remains the Clerk to the Council. Also, if you are not content with the response you receive from the Town Council you can seek you own independent legal advice if you felt it necessary to do so."

In my considered opinion potential sexual grooming of a child is not a case for the Glynneath Town Council Clerk and the Glynneath Town Council are in no way connected to the Facebook group Glynneath News & Views.

PC Peach was named in the report, previously.........

"I have agreed protocol for reporting Corporate Manslaughter and Child Abuse to DS Peach who refuses to complete the agreed protocol steps."

More information on this chain of communication can be found here............ CLICK HERE
