CHRISTINA REES MP SIMON KNOYLE, NEATH PORT TALBOT COUNCIL COMMUNICATION - COUNCIL OF DEATH DOCUMENT

This video is an email exchange chain between the Neath M.P. Christina Rees, the Glynneath Councillor Simon Knoyle and the Glynneath Residents Against Contamination chairman Dai Richards.

The subject matter of the initial email is the Council of Death  document delivered to the 15 Neath Port Talbot Councillors on 7 September 2020. The document shows how the council planning department worked with the demolition and asbestos removal company Cuddy Group Ltd to avoid remediation of contaminated land through a series of planning approvals between 2008 and 2010. This broke the 1990 Environmental Protection Act.

The report names Councillor Knoyle as one of the members of Neath Port Talbot Council who was made aware of this (breach of 1990 EPA) in April 2020 and they have attempted to avoid accountability or have committed misconduct/malpractice themselves in an attempt to cover up the identified malpractice.

Acting as the Mayor of Glynneath, and in the absence of a Town Clerk, Councillor Simon Knoyle refuses to provide Glynneath Town Council with information about a fabricated statement he made on his social media account in relation to a planning approval at the Heol y Glyn landfill site. The statement showed him working with the planning department and Enzo Homes to remove contamination testing from a toxic waste spoil heap allowing the toxic waste to be moved closer to residents properties in Brynhyfryd.

This video contains an excellent example of corruption at Glynneath Town Council. An explanation is contained in the description of the video.

https://youtu.be/9bgEfn2ZNdk 01-enzo30-title.jpg (1045957 bytes) This video places evidence into the public domain that the NPTCBC & Glynneath Town Councillor Simon Knoyle has made contradictory statements in relation to the chemical testing requirement at the Heol y Glyn Development in Glynneath. It shows how he has been made aware by the developer that the spoil heap which has recently been tested and found to be contaminated is to be spread around the site and used to fill in the stream next to residents properties.

Simon Knoyle has not replied to this public question

00y.jpg (382972 bytes) On 19 July 2021 we made a public question asking for an update on the Heol y Glyn Development because there were 6 different toxic chemicals that have recently been exposed in the top layer of the soil. This is of serious concern to our group. Only Councillor Knoyle has made a public statement in relation to four question but he has not referenced the current exposed contamination which is of concern. The council have a duty of care in relation to this contamination to provide a risk assessment for human health by categorising the identified contamination from 1 to 4. This information has not been provided with the current planning application which is a concern. This video requests that the two Glynneath councillors ensure that this information is provided to the residents surrounding the site as soon as possible. As council tax payers it is our right to know the level of toxins we have been potentially exposed to. - Glynneath Residents Against Contamination Group.

WHY ARE YOU KEEPING THIS INFORMATION SECRET FROM THE PEOPLE OF GLYNNEATH?

On the 27 March 2021. Councillor Knoyle posted information about the Heol Glyn development that had not previously been made public. He posted information about a document containing the results of chemical testing from soil at the Heol y Glyn site. He states that he had used this document in his role as a county councillor and undertaken due diligence in relation to the testing results contained in the document, he states in his post:

"I was provided with a copy of the WAC (Waste Acceptance Criteria) Tests which were carried out on 7th October 2020 - I received this confidentially, hence the reason I have redacted the image below. You will see that there are many contaminants identified in the samples, this is just a snippet of Sample 04 taken on 20th October 2020."

Councillor Knoyle and the complete Neath Port Talbot Council refuse to communicate with us and provide information that is relevant to the Heol y Glyn development in Glynneath. Why?
